is a company specializing in the fabrication and distribution of fragrances, institutional and home cleaning products of the highest quality.
Laboratorios Cofarma was founded in Barranquilla in 1944 with the purpose of fabricating and selling OTC pharmaceutical products as well as personal and home care products. In the beginning, we manufactured and distributed products for American companies; later after analyzing the business opportunities present in the Colombian market, COFARMA specialized in the manufacture of home care products such as air fresheners, cleaners, disinfectants, and insecticides under our own brand names. The diversity of our own products became one of our main strengths in the marketplace.
Laboratorios Cofarma S.A. has complete national coverage in Colombia, and starting in late 1999 initiated a period of expansion exporting to the neighboring countries in the Caribbean and Andean regions.
Initially founded as a Private Limited Company, in 1973 Cofarma was converted into a Public Limited Corporation. This established the company within the economic sector as manufacturers of cleaning and home care products as well as institutional care products utilizing direct distribution channels.
Being a leader in the market for 62 years has established our company solidly in the marketplace. Currently, we are developing plans to export to other countries.
